RACE REPORT

Tauranga was very fractious at the start, losing several lengths by commencing slowly. Crow's Nest made the early running from Blair Royal, Bachelor's Art and Herring Gull. After half a mile Blair Royal joined the early leader, drawing to the front a furlong later. Although Herring Gull mounted a challenge approaching the distance, Blair Royal repelled it with ease, winning by 3 lengths, with two lengths between Herring Gull and Bachelor's Art.
